The Federal Investigation Agency under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of the Interior of the Government of Pakistan is responsible for the administration of public order at the national level and sometimes at the international level when called. It was dispensed under the 1974 constitutional law and established in January 1975.
The Federal Investigation Agency replaced the Pakistan Special Police Establishment after independence due to increasing crimes with each passing day. This agency was established to control crimes such as human trafficking, corruption, gambling, money laundering, terrorist activities, control of the border and cyber crimes, etc.
FPSC Job Ad # 10 has advertised these FIA vacancies. The FIA is currently seeking to recruit the Investigation Inspector (BPS-16), the Assistant Investigation Director (BS-17), and the Assistant Legal Director (BPS-17). According to this vacancy announcement, there are 149 Investigation Inspector positions, 9 Investigation Deputy Director positions, and 75 Legal Deputy Director positions.

- Qualifications: 2nd class Bachelor’s degree or C grade from an HEC recognized university
- Age limit: 20 to 28 years + 5 years General age relaxation
- Height: 5 feet 6 inches for male
- Chest: 32 to 33.5 inches for men only
- Height for female: 5 feet 2 inches

Deputy director Investigation:
- Qualifications: 2nd class Master’s degree or C grade from an HEC recognized university
- Age limit: 22 to 28 years + 5 years General age relaxation
- Height: 5 feet 6 inches for male
- Total Vacancies: 09
Legal Deputy Director:
- Qualifications: 2nd class or C LLB grade from an HEC recognized university
- Two years of post-trial legal / prosecution qualification experience working in the legal field
- Age limit: 22 to 30 years + 5 years General age relaxation
- Height: 5 feet 6 inches for male
- Total Vacancies: 75
Desired incumbents who are residents of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan, Ex-FATA, Gilgit Baltistan, and AJK are eligible for this recruitment. FIA inspector jobs are available for both genders of applications (male/female). The minority quota is also observed.
