Commenting on the report, Shahid Afridi said that the false threat started in India and was a tactic to smear Pakistan.

Shahid Afridi, 44, added that the ICC has a great responsibility to solve these problems and make a solid decision.
He said the governing body should not remain silent as Pakistan faced difficulties and teams kept canceling their tours without any evidence or results. Some sectors have suggested that Pakistan should boycott its match against New Zealand in the T20 World Cup, but Afridi disagreed. “We must respond to our criticism by winning our performances and matches, we must make sure we play our best against the Kiwis in the World Cup,” he said.
