Trails for the under-19 teams of the cricket associations will begin on September 25.

The Lahore Pakistan Cricket Board has announced that testing of 12 U-19 cricket teams from six cricket associations will continue from September 25 to October 1. The trials will be overseen by a youth selection committee consisting of Saleem Jaffer (director), Wajahatullah Wasti, Javed Hayat, Sanaullah Baloch and Tawfiq Omar.

Kamran Khan will supervise the tests as an additional member. The players selected from these events will participate in the U-19 National Championship (three-day format) and the U-19 National Cup (one-day format). 19 teams will participate in these tournaments 490 players who have stood out in the events of the City Cricket Association have also been invited to participate in the tests carried out for the formation of these teams.

Only players born on or after September 1, 2002 will be eligible to participate in these events. The same age criteria have been established for the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2022. Testing in the five cricket associations will continue for two days, but in Central Punjab testing will continue for three days at two different venues. Tryouts for the Northern U-19, Southern Punjab U-19 and Sindh U-19 teams will take place on September 25 and 26 at the National Cricket Ground Islamabad, the Multan Cricket Stadium and the National Stadium Karachi Oval Ground, respectively. .

Tryouts for the Balochistan U19 and KP U19 teams will take place on September 29 and 30 at Bugti Stadium Quetta and Abbottabad Stadium. Tryouts for Central Punjab U19s will take place on September 29 at Saeed Ajmal Academy Ground Faisalabad while Township Cricket Tryouts will take place at Ground Lahore from September 30 to October 1. During this time, 19 protocols will be implemented. Players will not be able to use each other’s equipment.
